Margaret May knows first hand the challenges of holding down a high-powered career while keeping a grip on her health. She understands the dilemma of leaving work, family and play behind for the gym. And she realizes just how intimidating some training facilities can feel.
Prior to founding Champion4Fitness, Margaret spent more than 20 years in the management consulting industry among high-level information technology implementations. A resumé filled with powerhouse firms such as Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Pricewaterhouse and Andersen Consulting underscores her journey.
But corporate triumphs didn’t satisfy. Her true passion was to combine
her college studies in physical education with her years of knowledge and
training in business and technology to help other professionals make healthier
choices, perform better and live longer without the grueling, self-conscious
programs. Hers was a vision that demanded an overhaul in fitness training.
Brilliant beginnings.
In 2005 C4F and its leadership took shape when Mark Pearl, also a management consultant, joined the team. In 2008 Dr. M. Brian Wallace, a 25-year veteran of sports medicine and well-known author and innovator in the field, completed the partnership.
The team believed that every busy person, regardless of schedules and demands, should have the opportunity to realize their unique fitness goals in a comfortable, non-intimidating environment.
For more than a decade, Dr. Wallace has been perfecting an extensive, new bio/physiological testing and training system.
Mark Pearl, who shared May’s vision and technological expertise, lent his many abilities in business building, financial modeling and strategic planning to the C4F launch.
This was a flawless orchestration of talents. It was finally time to make assessment, training and nutrition a part of professional life.
Thanks to C4F’s new marriage of science, technology and fitness training, soon people would even track improvements in their body chemistry and composition on their home computers. Even those with the most hectic lives would feel better, look better and return to their youthful confidence.
